SIMPLE TRANSCRIPT OF FINAL B&L SCENE ON EPPY 3.11 - "SPLIT DECISIONS" ~

(B&L are standing in her bathroom; Bobby is brushing his teeth and Lindsay is putting on some lotion.)
L: That's the last thing I need is for you to stick up for me!
B: I wasn't sticking up for you!
L: You tell her to lay off me, what's that?! I can fight my own battles.
B: (sighs) I was talking to her as senior partner, which I still am - that doesn't change anything just because I'm -
L: You're not senior partner here, Bobby.
B: Well, let's put our clothes back on, drive over to the office, and have the conversation there.
(L huffs walks out and into her bedroom, standing before the bed.)
B: (follows) What?
L: They're treating me differently ever since...you know, like I'm Helen in some trojan horse trying to -
B: That - is your imagination. (he looks defeated and is quiet for a second) Look, can you not handle this? Because we could go back to -
L: Is that what you want - to go back?
B: No.
L: I mean, it's causing a lot of - if you really wanna go back, I'll understand. I will.
(Bobby walks up to her and tilts her chin up with his fingers.)
B: My New Years' Resolution was - to move ahead.
L: And everybody certainly thinks that was mine - don't they?
B: You care what they think?
L: Yes!
B: But you care more about what I think, right? (She nods slightly.) I'm not going anywhere. I'd rather fire you. (he grins)
L: (grins) You can't just fire me, I'm partner.
B: Yeah you are...mine.
(He leans down and they kiss passionately. He turns them around and pushes them to fall back onto the bed. The scene fades out with them kissing again and again, obviously leading to more.)

Lindsay’s heart pounds fiercely against her chest as she takes in the overwhelming pleasure she feels in this moment. Not just pleasure of body, but of heart, mind and soul as well. His words – those that would seem simple but sweet to any other – touched her like none had before. It amazes her – how he can sweep her off her feet without even trying. It only takes a look…

The moans surge in her throat, softly flowing from her parted lips as Bobby’s mouth and hands set her senses on fire. He knew her so well and never failed to dazzle her with how he chose to treasure her. Every touch…delicate yet strong…whispered something different. It was as if he, as she, couldn’t form the words to describe what if felt like to be so close…to give more and more each time…to seal silently spoken promises of love and devotion through the connection of their bodies.

She clings onto him, her mind disconcerted as it acts like a caution light – blink one to a feeling of pure bliss under his touch, blink two to the faces of those who chose to label this precious bond as something cheap. Though only one of them had voiced her opinion, Lindsay knew she was merely the spokesperson for them all – whether they knew it or not.

To them, their relationship was the center of some grand master scheme to control the firm…and it hurt – to know that your closest friends suddenly found you conniving and deceitful. Had falling in love suddenly become a crime? But maybe it wasn’t the love part that had them doubting her – maybe it was the circumstances: Bobby was their boss.

That one detail had been a great part of the deal during their recreational affair, as Lindsay convinced Bobby that this very thing was more than likely going to happen. Thinking back, she now wonders had they been open with their relationship, would a whole year of pain and loneliness been spared? For, it was after they had declared their affair a secret that they chose to end it on the notion that someone who could possibly be the one should come along - totally throwing out the idea of having that very thing right in front of them. He has since told her that he did feel himself falling back then…would Helen’s presence have mattered if they’d taken a chance on something more?

No. It was cruel to play ‘what if’ games. They were together now, and only moments ago Bobby’d made it perfectly clear that he was in this for the long haul. The rest of the world be damned. Something deep inside tells Lindsay that someday they’ll come to understand…if not, she'll make it, because Bobby’ll be by her side. If they thought she was saying good-bye to him again, they had another thing coming.

Blink. “Wow. I really was gone,” Lindsay thinks with a grin as she flashes back to the present, no longer finding a problem with staying focussed on him and only him as Bobby feathers his fingertips teasingly against her elbow. Her shock is that of a woman who has woken to find she’s missed half of the activity. Sure, she’d felt those luscious lips, teeth and tongue sliding over her trembling, hot skin as the thoughts troubled her mind, taking her away from the place she very much wanted to be - she wasn’t dead. It was Bobby, after all, and she always thought herself to be a person capable of doing two things at once. She’d just unconsciously allowed the thoughts to control her more so…quite miraculously, too, as the slightest touch from him always turned her brain to mush. It really was bothering her…more than she thought possible.

It’s evident that Bobby has taken notice of her ‘departure’ as his blue eyes meet hers. He continues his caress as he speaks. “You okay?”

“Mmm hmm…”

“You were a million miles away…”

“How do you figure that?”

“I just worked that spot on the back of your knee…and nothing. Not a moan. Not a sigh. Nothing.”

“Damn! I missed THAT?!” Lindsay feels like slapping herself as she realizes all the good stuff she unknowingly let pass her by. “Well, I was just –“

“Thinking about Ellenor?” Lindsay looks down. “Baby, I told you not to worry about her. This is you and me – no one else.” She doesn’t respond. “Look at me.” She does. “I’m here to stay, Lindsay. I don’t care what Ellenor or anyone else says or does – you’re not getting rid of me. You’re the only one I want…the only one I need. It’s you, Linds…it always has been. And this,” he raises their locked hands to show her, “is right. I’ve never been more sure about anything before in my life…so…just trust that. Trust it, because if you do, you’ll see that nothing else matters.” She smiles up at him, tearfully. “Do you?”

“Yeah…” she says in a low voice, nodding. “I do.”

“Good,” he kisses her. “Now, let’s stop thinking and talking so much, okay? I was really enjoying myself back there…”

“Sorry I missed it…” she giggles.

He shakes his head. “So am I…but I promise to repeat it all later if you shut up.”

“I thought you liked my being vocal in the bedroom…” she smiles.

“I do…but not this kind of vocal.”

“Care to elaborate?” Lindsay suggests, knowing full well what he means, but enjoying the fun of the game.

Bobby mocks the sounds he so often hears from her and the cries that surround them. She gasps.

“I don’t sound like that!”

“Oh, yes, you do!”

“Uh –“ she stammers.

“Uh – ah – wha –“

“Stop making fun,” she whines, swatting him.

“You’re something else, you know that?” He chuckles.

“As are you…”

Lindsay’s laughter is cut off as Bobby’s hands creep beneath the hem of her black nightdress, his warm breath tickling her soft and silky skin. He eases the material up at a snail pace, placing kisses up, up, up as he goes. His teeth nip at her hip bone and the flatness of her stomach….up, up to her breasts…his hands and mouth taking strong hold on them, teasing, caressing and satisfying her every desire. She shakes, moans and cries out as his actions drive her mad. After a few minutes, he moves up her neck to her chin, where he bites then cures with his lips. Finally, their mouths meet in a hot kiss…tongues and swollen lips dancing ferociously.

Bobby raises Lindsay’s arms as he pulls back, paying special attention to her left arm as he peels the gown from her body. When the material glides just above her elbow, he stops and suckles long and hard – Lindsay taking a sharp breath in reaction, then moaning uncontrollably. Quickly, he tears away the clothing and lowers his mouth to her right elbow. Her fingers pull at his hair, and he returns to her lips.

With as much strength as she can muster, Lindsay rolls them over so she is above Bobby. She smiles wickedly at him as she balances herself on his shoulders. Her lips trail over his skin…hands caress his chest, biceps and arms. When her lips return to his, though, Bobby takes back control. Kissing hard and deep...ravenous - he rolls them over. His hands draw her underwear down, as hers work to free him of his boxers.

Skin touches skin...Lindsay wraps her legs around Bobby’s back. Her arms rest under his as they lie on either side her head atop the mattress. Eyes locked, he joins them…she sighs, contentedly. Slowly, he moves within her, and she meets his pace…taking time to feel and enjoy. Her expressions bewitch him. Her eyes smile at him.

To Bobby, nothing feels better than loving Lindsay…it’s phenomenalshe’s phenomenal: her eyes, dark with passion; her movements, intoxicating – the sound of her as he brings her closer and closer to ecstasy.  What they have together is more than he could have ever dreamed of. But the greatest thing of all is knowing that it doesn’t just mean a good way of passing time…they have something that he knows may equal forever.

Their lovemaking is a way to revel in the absolute delight in having found one another, to prove that their feelings are true and real…how powerful they are. He momentarily disregards his own plea to ignore outside commentary as the thought of making it anything less fills him with an unexplainable rage.

It’s perfection to know that Lindsay is his. Blind before, Bobby now knows she is everything he’s been missing…he wasn’t about to let her go again.

Seeking more, Bobby increases the speed again and again as the time passes them by…still, Lindsay manages to keep up. They are in a world of their own as they are one. The bed rattles. Sweat pours from their burning flesh. Lindsay’s cries reach the sky and Bobby’s grunts and groans accompany them. He feels her release as she mutters his name at her peak. He pounds in a frenzy and soon, he is there as well – growling her name.

Exhausted, Bobby collapses onto Lindsay. She holds him tightly as they take deep, reviving breaths. They kiss again and again, slow and sweet…sated. The need for air forces them to separate, but only long enough for Bobby to flop onto his back and pull Lindsay into the safety of his most welcoming arms. One of her hands rests against his chest, while the other entwines with his. His free hand twirls a few damp strands of her hair and their legs tangle. Neither cares or has the energy to grab the sheet from the foot of the bed, so, they lie bare to what would eventually be cool air.

The beauty of the moment enchants her as Lindsay can feel herself on the verge of sleep. Her head is placed on the space over his heart, and she allows its steadying rhythm to sing her into dreams. She wishes she could freeze time and stay with him like this for eternity. For, now she feels so alive...so loved. There is no else, she knows, as the truth lies in the depths of their souls alone. It wasn't just some wild ride - it was love...a deeper love than most would ever know.

~THE END~
